Christmas Stockings for Children in Broward County

Quilting in the Pines (http://www.pinesquilts.com) is getting ready to start making stockings for children who will be in the hospital this year at Christmas time.
We will be having a workshop after our August meeting to work on stockings.

Here is the one I'm making as a sample
Here is the red felt foundation that strips are sewn onto
you can go in any direction you choose.
Here is what the back will look like before trimming
Make sure you use the same color of thread as the foundation,
so it won't show when done.
Here it is trimmed, now put right sides together
 and sew.
Here it is sewn together, now turn and push all seams
out and then press with hot iron to help with the shape.
And now we have the stocking front and back done,
onto the cuff, here we go.
All done with Holly and Berries and hook for hanging.

Super Easy and Fun
Happy Stitching,

Helping Dianas-Golden-Needle

When you go to take pictures outside the wind starts to blow,
but you just have to be patient, it will stop for a second.

The New Tea Cup Exchange

Here is my new Tea Cup that I received from Stephanie, from The Enchanted Rose.
For Our Tea Cup Exchange
Such wonderful gifts from the Heart.
A little birdy told me that this tea cup is from her own collection.
I will treasure it.
One of the note tags was put in my Bible the same day,
so I will say a pray for Stephanie and her family each time I see it.
The pearls and the little white bird are mine.
Stephanie puts pearls with some of her pictures, so I tried it out.
Even loved the paper bag that all the other items came in.
Love it Stephanie
Thank You so much.

Here is the one I sent to my partner in NC.
She liked things from Britain.
Even the Tea Cup is from England.
I made the 10 minute runner from tea cup
and teapot fabric.  we have a shop here that sells
items from that area, so it worked out well.

Hope she is enjoying it.

Blessings to everyone.

My MoJo for Quilting is gone

I am in no mood to quilt, I did straighten up my cutting table tho.
Went yesterday with friends to Stitch Craft Quilt Shop in Boca Raton
and picked up some fabric for our guilds 3 yard quilt challenge for April.
We had to pay $5.00 to play
so here is my choice of fabrics
After we finish the top and show it in April at our guild meeting, we get
our $5.00 back
I hope this will bring some motivation back to my quilting mojo.
I really like these fabrics, not usually my choice of colors, but I do like them.
Hope you will come visit again and see the finished quilt.
Hope you will sign up with your email, and follow me to see
if I get my quilting mojo back.

Hope you are keeping warm if you have snow and being safe,
RoseMary

From my Sweetie

My hubby brought these to brighten my day.

Health issues are getting in the way of blogging (and life) as I would like,
hope to be getting answer's soon as I have changed Dr.'s.
I still try and quilt on something everyday just to keep my spirits up.
Hope everyone is doing well?
Keep stitching

In time of trouble

In time of trouble, say,

“First, Lord you brought me here.  It is by your will Lord, I am in this strait place, in that I will rest.
Next, “Lord, you will keep me here in your Love, and give me Grace in this trial to behave as your child.”
Then say,
Lord, you will make this trial a Blessing, Teaching me lessons you intend me to Learn, and working in me the Grace you mean to bestow.”
And last, say, “In your good time Lord, you can bring me out again.  How and when, you know.”
Therefore, say,
“I am here (1) by your appointment Lord,
(2) in your keeping. (3) under your training, (4) for your time.

AMEN
